With a cycle time of 2 seconds per pacifier, these automation concepts are extremely efficient and allow a production capacity of up to 10 million pacifiers per year. They consist of four assembly cells and are designed for two different shield sizes and six different mouthpieces.

The shield and the mouthpiece are fed separately to the first assembly cell as bulk material. The parts are then transferred via the transfer system to the second assembly cell, where a pin with or without a ring is pressed onto the shield. The parts are welded in the third assembly cell using ultrasonic technology. In the fourth cell, the parts are labeled and packaged.
